I am having similar issues, but I have taken my carbs apart and cleaned, then reassembled a couple times to make sure it was all good, but I think I am just going to have to take mine to a guy here in town and let him do it and learn from him. At the same time though, I have no air filtration...

Ok, sorry, i see... its after midnight here and been up since 6 this morning, lol

Each ends are bare, and I am twisting them together. I get the bulb to glow, but its not getting brighter. I don't think I will be able to get a photo... if I can, I will post.

Still having troubles, I have one black, one yellow, and two blue wires. New light has one red and one brown.

It seems to turn off instead of getting brighter when I push the break, I will try rearranging. Thank you for your help hmusket

ok, what about the light I bought, its does not have a ground wire. Just brown and red. going to try your suggestion right now

I have a 1978 Yamaha XS400 (spe- is on the title[spoke wheels]) and the tail light and wiring is missing from the female connector on the wiring harness. Blue, black, and yellow wires. I am trying to get my brake light to turn on, what should I hook to? What if I cut off the adapter and hook...
