Hi everyone. Love the site...

I have ridden motorcycles before, but never had the chance to make one my own. I came across this '82, and saw an opportunity (and the price was right). Over the next however long it takes, I would like to create a bobber. My first time, so I will try to keep you all updated. And I'm sure I will have questions...

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum. The dohc bikes are a bit harder to do mods with but there are a few that have done it.

I want to put a single seat on, but keep the monoshock... Has anyone taken the frame out directly under the existing seat and used a seat that only mounts at the tank rear bolt?

Also wondering if anyone has any experience with using a kickstart with this model. I like the look without a battery.

Cheers!

Got a lot of work done over the past couple days... Hope I remember how to put it back together.

Anybody know of a good set of forward controls?

I changed the battery to lithium-ion, and attached it to the swing arm. It is an Anti-gravity battery, & I ordered it and the hold down from a place called L C Fabrication. It was a little pricey, but it was worth it to me.

Nice work! I really like the look of the engine on that year/model of bike. Your bike shows it off nicely.
