I need a petcock for my tank and was curious if one from a 1981 xj650 would work on my 1980 xs 400 tank.

http://www.mikesxs.net/parts/yamaha-xs650-petcock-non-vacuum-type-oem-447-24500-02-00 I would replace it with a manual one. I don't think the xj will work.
