So looks like i figured it out. The right front turn signal wire was connected to the headlight wiring. So whenever the headlight received power it would ad well. Electronics are now all buttoned up! Now... Onto why its not holding an idle anymore....

Just a quick update guys, Tried several methods to get the screws out, and none worked. I found the exact same set for $80 on fleabay, so picked those up, ordered brand new mixture screws for added peace of mind, and put it all together. She runs! Onto adjusting and fine tuning.

Unfortunately the PO screwed the idle air screws on too tight, and they broke off and are permanently stuck in the carb bodies. I'm looking for a set of carbs that I can either rebuild, or just the carb bodies. Location Oakland CA.

The fork gaiters came with the bike. They're a bit large, so I'm going to swap them out for something more fitting, and paint the forks black while I'm at it. The handlebars are painted a satin black at the moment. Should I sand down where they contact the risers?

Figured out that it was the front brake light switch. With it disconnected there are no electrical issues anymore. Now just have to figure out how to put the brake switch on again without it shorting.

Will do that and report back. Weird thing is the signal fuse was fine last week (it was the main fuse that was blowing due to a bad ground).
