    The front and rear brake shoes on my 1981 XS400 needed replacement because of the delamination. Found both sets bad when I had changed tires. Luckily this was a new to me bike and I discovered this before riding it.

    Actually no diodes necessary. One electronic 2 prong flasher and it flashes my LED combo tail brake signal and the front incandescent blinkers.

    Oil leak from stator wire grommet!!

    Are you sure it's not leaking from the neutral switch. It's a plastic piece with an o ring on the left side. This will leak with age.

    LH drill bit set from harbor F works better than easy outs. But too late now.

    Too late now but, the best way to remove stuck pilot jets is with a left hand drill bit. It will remove them every time. I just sourced a set of mik 34's and the one pilot slot for the screwdriver was really messed up. The LH drill bit cranked it right out.
