    Oil settles very slow

    I noticed after driving the bike, that the oil can take up to half an hour to settle back to the oil level window. Sometimes it will settle to only half full and other times to the top marker. Also, I took the valve cover off and there is oil pooling in the top of the engine. Is this normal? I...

    Wanted - Two into one exhaust baffle

    So today I finally got my carb pilots tuned so I could get the bike to go over 6000rpm. The consequence is I blew my baffle out and destroyed it lol. If anyone knows where I can buy a new baffle or if someone has an exhaust they can sell me, let me know

    pilot screw reset

    So basically I went messing with stuff when I took my carbs off and now the motorcycle runs rich and my plugs are black. The ones you can adjust from the top after the throttle plates. I read in the manual afterwords they are adjusted with specialized equipement so I hope I didn't screw myself...

    Spooky things happening while riding..

    The bike broke down down this evening while just coming back into town...I looked at the trip odometer and just rolls over to 2112..freaky! Turned out it was just out of gas. I just pulled over and flipped the reserve on until I got home. Still freaked me out.

    misses on heavy acceleration

    Hey all, new to the forum. I Just picked up an 82' xs400...It is the one with the mono shock. The bike is awesome and runs good, but around 6-7k rpms or any time at wide open throttle, the engine will cut out and sputter. I checked the spark plugs and they look pretty good. Maybe the carbs? Also...
