I did not have any body filler pop, and even when I laid the bike down at 90mph it still did not pop, even though the tank dented close by. There are many factors that will go into body filler poping around the applied surface. You should take precautions during preparing the tank and scuff up...

Get a set from a Hyabusa and it is pretty much just making an additional set of brackets after that! I might sell some brackets if I get enough interest from the group. Good luck!

After working on the tank all week I finally was happy enough with the body work to paint. Here are pictures from start to clearcoat. Hopefully tomorrow I will be posting pics of it buffed and installed!

I know what you mean by hip cramp. When I get some money together I will be getting some rear sets and figuring out a new way to mount passenger pegs. As for the forks, I didnt do anything to shorten them.. however I didnt do any of the cosmetic stuff to bike, it was all done when I got it.

I don't mind using the stock pegs. It isn't uncomfortable and my wife can still ride with me. On past bikes using rearsets eliminated the possibility of having a passenger. Wouldn't that be true on this bike as well?
