Even though I just got it not too long ago and got it running good - I'm needing to part with it. New parts within the last month are: intake manifold, carbs rebuilt with new bowls/floats, air filters, spark plugs & cables, battery. Tires are still in decent shape and over all is in ok shape...

Good schtuff GS - I have an XS650 that's all pulled apart now, I'll try that and if it works, I'll order new ones!

On closer inspection - the spark plug wires are pretty well cracked / dried out. Does anyone have a preference where they buy supplies?

I picked up my XS400 a little while back and rode it around the first couple days I had it. On the last ride, I noticed that when I touched the outside of the engine case (the fins specifically) I got zapped with a bit of electricity! Since then, I haven't been able to get it started...

I kinda hope it has ... I haven't picked it up yet so I'm looking forward to hearing it (not to mention riding it). I've heard via youtube some straight pipes on the 400 and I like it.

I will probably ride it as-is for a good while ... at least a couple years. But I'll be a part of this community all the while and if/when it comes time to chop it up, I'll definitely post here.
