Wow that looks great! It looks clean. Get a fork stabilizer in there though so decrease the chances of a tank slapper. What type of tires did you put on it? I need to get new tires soon

I went to install the tachometer cable today and the screw started to strip. Any ideas on how to loosen this screw without further stripping it? It's a pain to get too because of the gas tank. I also will have to replace this screw since it's starting to strip, anyone know the dimension of it?

Great bike! I'd recommend a fork brace though since you removed your front fender. The front fender serves as a steering stabilizer so get a fork brace on there asap!

The front fender served as a "fork brace" and without it, the bike won't feel so tight when taking corners. Fork braces serve as a steering stabilizer. Without fork braces, you can have a "tank slapper" and lose control of your bike. an example of a tank slapper.

I cleaned out the turn signal switch box. It still sticks sometimes so when I have more time I plan to fully clean it. I also ordered an aftermarket tachometer cable today. I cannot wait for it to come in to have a fully functioning bike.

My kickstarter doesn't work but the electric ignition works perfectly. Besides the occasional need to have the choke out during a cold start, it starts up fine with a push of a button. What should I troubleshoot in order to fix the kickstarter on my '81 XS400?
