yep, the key was bad, So I hardwired that (read, tuned on key), likewise for the killswitch, put it in neutral, kickstand switch I guess didnt matter, or didnt work, but basically that's all I had to do! after I got the power going to the coils and stuff

update. wizardry ensued and now I have power at both wires on both coils

okay I've been tracing, found that the key switch was bad, so hard wired that, now it turns over, and over and over, no catch even by turkey-basting fuel straight down the throat of the carbs.... have power at both wires on one of the ignition coils, and power to only one wire on the other side...

alright well mine just has an on/off position kill, and it does in fact have a kickstand switch, which seems crazy to me, I'll probably delete that after I figure out the wiring demons. So. Kill switch, I wasnt sure which way was kill, and which was run, so I just minaretted the two wires...

A side stand sensor? I didnt even know that was a thing. holy hell. I have noooo idea

alright guys, New guy here, I picked up a project '82, which appears to be good to go now that I've taken the carbs apart, cleaned them, changed the fluids and all of that, but I'm staring at a mess of wires now, everything looks good, but... nothing is hooked up. I need to know what I have...
