I have a 1980 XS 400 Special.
I've read through quite a few posts, and just want to make sure I understand correctly before purchasing another wheel.
I have found an 18 inch spoke wheel with a drum brake that I would consider, even though the front is a mag. Is this a direct swap? Or do I need the swing arm for an 18 inch wheel?
I have also found an 18 inch rear mag that matches my front mag, but has a disk brake. Is there a way to convert the disk brake wheel to a drum,
OR, if I want to run the rear disc, don't I need to change the swingarm as well?
And, finally, how do I tell the difference between the swingarms?
