Hello everyone,
I've had my bike for a while, it's mostly been in storage. When I bought it, the only thing wrong with it was the rear master cylinder, it wasn't the correct one. The previous owner had it jerry-rigged, but it would bind and not work right. So naturally, I bought a replacement. That's when life happened and I didn't get back to the bike again till now. I go to install the replacement rear master cylinder the other day and apparently I had bought the same RMC as was already there. They are almost identical. They are likely for a different XS400 and both the previous owner and I fell into the same trap.
I now have two master cylinders which may be of use to someone here, and of course I'm in need of the correct one. Is anyone interested in the ones I have and/or willing to sell me the correct one? I see generics on ebay for pretty cheap, has anyone tried those with success?
