Any aftermarket carburetors will work, the hard part is getting them working together and getting the correct needles for them. Keihin Pwk series carbs are a popular swap and the parts are available almost anywhere.
If I was to replace my vacuum slides, I would go with either a set of keihin flat or round slides or a single pwk on a two to one intake for ease of tuning.
And I would only ditch the stock carburetors if rebuilding them is impossible, its harder to get an aftermarket set tuned without a large kit of needles and jets and a dyno setup.
