XS400 New Member
Hello,
My name is Ryan, I'm from Columbia, MD, and I am a Graphic Designer. I just wanted to make my first post as I am new to this forum. I picked up an 81 XS400 Special a couple days ago for $500. This is my first motorcycle (besides some dirt bikes growing up) and I cant help but modify everything I get my hands on. I want to turn this into more of a cafe style bike, but as it is my first time I thought I should take it slow. For the first big modification, I was thinking of keeping it as stock as possible, but still giving it the look I want. I will be posting more this along the way. For now, any criticism or tips are welcome!!
The problems I new of when buying was:
-needed new battery (bought)
-front brakes aren't working
-small oil drip
Here are some pictures of the bike and a super rough photoshopping of how I was thinking I could make the bike look.
