I have an XS400 -82 and yesterday when i drove away (quite high rev on second gear) the engine just died on me. When trying to start it seemed lite the starter button also was dead since nothing happened, not even a click sound that could have been expected if there were a battery problem. There were no faulty fuses and the lights were on as usual when ignition was turned on.
However the strange thing was that last night there where no possibility to start it, but this morning it started on the first try as it always have done before and it have just been standing still over night.
Does anyone have any idea what caused this? Are there any safety relays that could have caused this behavior?
