Exhaust swapping

Hey everyone,

Whats the deal with using exhausts from different years. If I have a 1980 Special will other exhaust years fit? What about a 1980 Standard?

Hey newb, I think as long as you are swapping pipes from a sohc motor to a sohc motor. They should be interchangeable. My bike has a dohc motor and the bends and inlets are a little different. As far as a standard to a special, it should swap right out.
