First motorcycle project, 79 xs400

Well I bought this bike from my mom, shes had it sitting for months and done nothing with it. So last week I picked it up.

on the ride home

in my garage, her new home.

Today, its been raining for days so I said screw it time to start cutting.

Rear spring pulled off, to get an idea of how low I want it.

So after I got a basic idea of where I wanted the rear swingarm, I made a fake shock out of some angle iron I had.

That is all I got done today, I like what I have got so far. It will be put on hold for a while, as my 240sx is getting close to being done.

YAH THAT LOOKS AWSOME!! i started that way also but you are way better with that pair of needle nose pliers than I am!!! i used a crap load more tools than that!!

yeah looks cool slammed like that, If I wasnt 6'2" i would have my bike slammed but I kind of look like a polar bear riding a tricycle.

your 240sx is way cool, what kind of v8 u gona run?

I am 6'2 as well, and I really don't look too giant when sitting on it.

I am putting the infinity 4.5l v8 from the q45 mated to a 300zx 5 speed transmission.
