front brake shoes

i need to replace my front 79' f2 drum pads. i know the dia is wider than the rear. i see 80-81 versions for sale, does anybody know if these will work, or better yet does somebody have a new set they would like to sell? thanks, tom

I would just go to yamaha to make sure you get the right ones. They do carry aftermarket brands as well for a good price.

That is something I still need and the dealer, plus Yamaha sites, seem to show front shoes as obsolete and I will prob go with EBC. The rear drum shoes seem easily available oddly. I will be using the rear for 70% of stopping power. I don't think that's what I learned from MSF learning
