My 1980 xs400 lives! Today i finished putting the carbs back in, sorted my wiring harness gremlins, put the headlight back on, and even rode it! started on the second bump! The bike doesnt have a seat yet, so i rolled up a towel and laid it on top on the battery and such so i could test-ride it. Bike only has a rear drum, so very little street time and maybe hit 4th @ 60. Bike pulls WAY harder than i thought it could. It fires right off, is a bit sluggish to throttle tip-in when cold, but idles like a top and once warm revs freely TO THE MOON! I cannot wait to get a seat on it, get it legal, and start riding it places.
