Hello Everyone,
I recently bought a 1978-79 Yamaha xs400 that is a pile of parts currently. I have always wanted to learn how to modify, work-on, and build vehicles. It is one of my life goals to get my motorcycle license. So I figured why not start with learning to build a motorcycle from scratch? I know very little about the types of tools I will need as well as where to start, so any expert or veteran advice would be much appreciated. Since the bike is in pieces my best guess would be to do a parts check to see what I have and what is missing and go from there. My first question is what is a good place to start in rebuilding a motorcycle and what is a good order to do the build in? Be gracious with me as my knowledge is very limited, but I am eager to learn!
