Hey this my first post ever, new to this but here for the long run. I was just Given! an 81 xs400, been trying to find one for the past year but people here sell them at extreme prices. the previous owner wanted to do a cafe racer but he didnt have the time, so he gave it to me with all his parts.
So far I've stripped the bike clean and the engine
He also gave me an 18'' rear cast disc brake wheel, but i currently have 16'' drum on it now. i read around that i would have to change the swingarm and would need to get a caliper and master cylinder. i found one on ebay from an 78 .. but i dont if its compatible. i dont mind doing a bit of work to make it fit.
Anyways this site is awesome so much info and im looking forward to building this bike.
