New xs400 and newer rider Hi!

Hello all,

I just picked up a 82 xs400s (i believe) 14w on the engine. Think i got it for a good deal. Fully rebuilt motor (never been run), new tires, new batt and a plethora of parts and 2 extra engines! All she needs (so I'm told) is an ignitor. Can't wait to get her up.

This would be my first real bike although in Japan I had/tracked a Aprilia rs50. Totally different bike!

purchase is acceptable, however I would put ewl seat all black and would polish the engine covers (black paint on top of the alternator seems a bad job). polished aluminum is really beautiful

welcome to the forum,

don't polish unless you intend to make the rest of the bike top class image wise. keep it "street" and you'll keep the build cheap and have more time to ride

Ya I'm not a big polisher so I might just repaint everything. But it'll probably come during the winter. I'm going to do a search for parts shops but anybody know a good place off the top of their head. Ps I'm in canada
