no power/spark/lights

My 81 special has been running great till i parked it at a coffee shop the other day, now i get nothing when I turn the key. No lights, no spark. I check all my wiring connections and they are good, the bike is hardwired with just headlight, tail light and key ignition. Where should I start to look for the problem?

do u still have the old tube style fuses? if so i would start there. after a while the connection becomes weak and brittle causing bad connection.

i think that's it, i fiddled with them and it started and I rode around for a while, now it wont go again, i guess I just need to redo the fuse connections
