OOH! look what I found

Does anyone have any experience with the person on FeeBay that will "rebuild" a set you send them for $175.00? I imagine that it will cost nearly as much if i do it myself...Plus i get to learn all about them.

@oldgeek - what are you looking at for a "rebuild" ? if it's replacing floats, pins, jets and any of those little internals I found it better to do it myself. It ended up being much cheaper (can't remember how much off-hand, I think $75ish?). There's plenty of help and support on the forums to do a very thorough job.

@drewpy - I hope you realize you're killing me through my bank account because my wish-list is a mile long now...thanks ;)

maxim-umm...I guess i want to get the carbs right. I am pretty handy with tools, but my lawn mower's SINISTER carb almost kicked my butt one time! I finally won out and it starts first pull most of the time.

I will be ordering the carb parts as soon as i find/pick a good place to buy them.
Do you have any suggestions where to buy carb parts from?

Scotty

For the multitude of o-rings you'll need I'd suggest www.cycleorings.com. I bought a kit for my Mikuni's and o-rings for my intake manifolds for $24 delivered, and got enough parts to rebuild 4 carbs and re-seal 4 intake manifolds. Works well for me since my bike came with a spare pair of carbs, which I can now rebuild with the extra o-rings.

I just got kits for mine from Mikexs for$ 27.00+ shipping, and boiled them 3 times before being satisfied. The last time, using water and vinegar, and the carbs and the mix were clean. lha
