Petcock hookup (oem)

Search didn't return anything usable.. It's been a while since I disassembled the bike and have had finals since then.. so there are a few things here and there that I simply forgot.

I replaced the lines, cleaned the carbs, and put new boots on.. I'm not too familiar with a vacuum petcock and want to verify that I have this right... the 1/4" obviously goes for the fuel line. The smaller of the two connects to one of the boots to get the suction going and pull fuel down into the petcock instead of letting gravity do it, correct?

Should be getting this thing wrapped up in the next few weeks and I'll have some shots up.

you are correct. on mine the vacuum goes to the side and the fuel delivery is pointed down. on mine the vacuum goes to the right carb boot

That's the right setup, but the vacuum doesn't suck the fuel down, it sucks against a rubber diaphragm, opening a valve and the fuel flows with gravity.
