Pistons... SOHC vs DOHC

Hello all!
I am in the process of gathering all the parts to do a rebuild and I am about to order a pair of pistons online from eBay. I noticed that all the pistons listed for the DOHC motors(82+) seem to have a larger dome but I have read that they were the same as the SOHC motors(81-) So my question is just that, are the DOHC pistons different compared to the SOHC pistons? If so, I would assume the DOHC pistons in a SOHC motor might have higher compression and possibly clearance problems...

I asked this question recently because i am rebuilding my sohc too. From what I understand they are NOT compatable in any way. Hope this helps!

I wouldn't give up, tho, you never know what you can make to fit!
Maybe not dohc xs pistons but there are plenty of bikes and small cc cars...
