Rear sets

I am scoping out the work on my Cafe 79 xs400.

I seem to have a plan for most things, except the rear set. I could make a set but i hopping for something off the shelf.

I want something higher and 6 inches back....

any ideas?

I'm adapting a 1992 FRZ600 rear set for our cafe racer. I welded mounting brackets across the exhaust support loop and drilled the brackets to accept bolts thru the FRZ mounts. They were cheap on ebay; about $25 per side.

I bought yamaha r6 ones off ebay and a set of ducati 848's off ebay. It will involve more work. Off the shelf is great but they look costly to me. I haven't decided which ones I'm using yet, have to get a seat done first so I get the location right.

I was also going to make mine but it gets to the point where I just have to say stop sometimes or I'll never get this thing done. I want to be riding by spring / summer.
