Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and I tried searching through most of the articles before posting my own thread. I have a 78 xs 400, it's been a project of mine for a while. The previous owner started to take it apart and lost a few things. I have two questions for anyone who can answer them. First one, is there any website online where I can buy the bolts to bolt the top of the rear shocks into the frame? Second, can anyone recommend aftermarket rear shocks for me? I won't be doing any racing, it's mostly just a joy ride bike. I'm trying to replicate the stock look of the bike without too much customization. Thanks everyone!
Also, how can I tell which bike I have several aftermarket parts dealers ask for specific models of a 78 xs 400. Example xs400, xs400e, and xs4002e. I'm not sure if it even makes a difference but would be nice to know. Thanks again!
