I recently bought an old xs400 '85. It runs great, but when it's cold I sometimes experience a problem with the electric starter.
When I push the button, it turns over but sometimes it sort of runs free and doesn't turn over the engine. This morning i had to push start it, because it wouldn't catch.
So - the starter is activated and turns over, but it tempts to run "free" without catching.
Any tips on how to fix this?
