Hi everone, I have a 1980 xs400 special. It turns out after extensive looking that my starter is out. Can anyone answer these questions?
1. Has anyone ever rebuilt there starter? And is it worth it?
2. Does anyone know where to get a kit to rebuild it?
3.Would cleaning it get the job done?

I forgot, one mor thing. Is there a way to check to see if the starter works without have the bike completely reassembled? Tx alot
