Just took some. Next step is to fab up a cafe tail in leu of the duct tape seat and finish my tank modification. The clip-ons I put on today.

My buddy's 929RR has a much smaller battery as does my R1. Could I use something like that?

I'm planning a tail modification (unsure which one) and was wondering if I can use a smaller battery. I do want to retain the electric starter. Anyone using one smaller than the 12a?

I'm waiting for the wrecked 09 Hoda pilot in my shop to have the exhaust replaced. That will give me the rest of the pipe to finish. Hopefully this weekend. I thought about making a muffler of some sort, but not sure.

I got redkote liquid tank liner for mine. Wasn't leaking, but rusty. The can says it will seal up 1/16" holes. This stuff is badass. Bought it at napa for $30.

I started fabbing up a 2-1 yesterday. Here's a pic of what I have so far. Please excuse my less than perfect welds!

I'm an enginuative fellow and I can make it work,:D I was just expecting it to fit better. My main concern was the fuel outlet being so close to the choke. And the fitting is a smaller diameter than stock. Now the hose is all mashed by the clamp. I guess that's what you get when it's not factory.

Sorry to be a postwhore, but as a new member I have many issues. I bought the 46mm nonvacum petcock for my bike and it does'nt fit. It bolts on fine, but it is so close to the tank, you cant turn it upward. It hits the tank when you try to point it upward. I can only use "reserve" and...

Thanks XSLEO. I went with the 145/45 from mikes at the same time as new levers/petcock, filters/fork seals etc, so shipping was already being paid for. If I have to change jets from there, than I will buy local. Thanks for all the help guys!

How do I know which mikuni's I have. I'm trying to order my jets, and it's listing a bs30 and a vm22. How do I figure out which to get?

Thanks for the info. I like the look of the drag pipes and the ease of fabbing some up, but I think I will build a 2-1 set-up.
