    Tachmeter Drive Cable

    The output gear in the motor is turning the cable just fine, I'm not sure why it doesn't turn quickly when I give the engine some throttle.

    The cable is lubed, I have inserted the lower end of the cable into a cordless drill and the gauge moves quite freely. The only thing I have tried is to remove the cable from the back of the tach and run the engine to see if it is turning, I suspect it is but not very fast.

    Now that you mention it I do hear a bit of a scrubbing sound as if a parking brake was on. Thanks for your help. I will pull the caliper off to see if that makes a difference. Thanks again, Rob
