    Thanks for the info I ordered a nos pushrod and actuator from ebay I sent the motor out and had it rebuild with new clutch rebuild. When I build the bike How hard do you think it will be to get the broken piece of pushrod out

    It's up and running the rectifier/voltage regulator came from mikes it's charging right at 14.9 volts at 5000 and sits around 12.9 idling I also bought on of those voltage gauges USO now there's no question if it's charging while out riding Thanks again for the help

    I've pin pointed my charging issue down to the voltage regulator I took one off my lawn tractor but I think it's only for the headlights cause my alternator goes as high as 18 volts at around 5000 rpm can anyone suggest a reliable regulator that's easy to wire up

    It seems to be fixed after tracing every wire and lots of volt meter testing it's finally charging it runs 12.80 at idle and goes up to 14.7 at 3000 rpms I might dare say I've finally figured out how it works and how to test it all
