I'm usign a VM34 with a 240 main(i think) my intake looks like a "y" and equal length runners. In theorie they it doesn't matter what carb you use what jets are in it both sides should be the same since there's only one carb

I just road tested my 81 xs400 with a single carb and to my disappointment it runs way to lean on the left side and to rich on the right, since there's only one mixture screw i don't know how I'm suppost to fix this. Anybody have any ideas. Also like someone else may of asked already has anyone...

rad hose isn't rated for gas use it will break down. i used a snowmobile carb flange on mine and it works great

No i gave up not like it matters now anyways I dont have many stock parts anymore.

Stock bearings. I bought the spacer from bros manufacturing (www.brosmfg.com) The springer is the stock length of my old forks you can get it shorter or longer.

I have a Harley DNA springer on my xs400 it was super easy to put on. All you need is a spacer for the bottom bearing.

Here are my filters nothing fancy but they work like a dream.

I've had and broke 2 pairs of the cheaper pods(it's the vibrations.) So I built my own any haven't had any issues since. I hope I helped in someway.

where are you putting the clutch?

Slightly off topic but does anyone(besides me) use a suicide shift. That would also fix your shifter length issue

I rode this was all summer it's a bit of a stiffer ride but i haven't noticed anything else different.
