I'm sorry for your loss. I don't think a sarcastic comment is in order, but for all reading this, if you have a center stand, use it might save you. My friend did something similar but had his on the centre stand and the bike did a 180 in the air and ended up face down.

Removed the starter, now there is nothing for the cover to mount to? What did you guys do, just fab a large block off plate. If so how did you mount it?

Do you have a stator, field coil and both wires that attach to them. basically a charging system, I'm in vancouver so posting would be to point roberts. I'de much rather buy from a club member then ebay.

I had both connectors running to the stator before disconnected to limp her home and she ran fine, now i removed the stator (no wiring in there at all) and now i've no spark. Is the copper wire used as a ground or something?

both of your look great, nice job and good for inspiration. I want to do mine now, maybe the shifter too.

I went from points to electric. much less hassle of resetting all the time.
