    Switching to Pods Help with jets

    I have a 78 and a 79 (with an 80 motor) put pods on both factory exhaust on the 80 and straight pipe with baffles on the 78 and did not need to change anything? plugs are a nice tan brown right now? We are at about 4000-6000 ft... so you may not have to do anything to it?

    Gasket sets

    I cut my own engine gaskets from gasket paper.. it was $9.00 for a roll and I have made quite a few gaskets for my bike so far.. a little time with a sharp knife and they fit pretty decent. So far so goo. exhaust well if you need them its pretty tough to cut those ones.. :-)

    Right cyl does not run untill warmed up..

    well cleaned the carbs again last night.. and this morning at 5 degrees Celsius. It fired up on both Cylinders.. would have never thought it was a carb issue... thanks Eric.. now will do a sync and see if that helps with any fine tuning. Thanks guys.

    Real world battery recommendation?

    I ordered mine from http://www.xs650direct.com/... same as MikesXS for us Canadians.. it was only $48 for the AGM.. not sure of the quality as I just got it.. but it fits and runs my bike fine. My order was over $150 (i needed lots of stuff.. LOL) so shipping was free.. it was about $100 less...

    Stator removal

    DO NOT USE A 3 ARM PULLER... The bolt you are talking about is actually called a Flywheel puller.. it is simply a bolt you screw into the crank shaft.. once finger tight or snug with a wrench (not impact or something stupid tight) hit it with a hammer.. tighten a little more and hit it again...
