I've been on the look out for a wiring harness for my xs400 and I've had no luck. The only place that I could find wanted nearly 300 dollars for it. Someone said do it myself however I'm not very inclined in electric work. Any suggestions?
Heylo.
The skinny: I built a cafe racer, eitrd from scratch, burnt out two batteries.
I have a combo reg/rec purchased from Ricks. My bike is a 1981 xs400 heritage special. My R.R has 3 white wires, which I ran to the white wires on the R.R, 1 green to the magnet? A brown wire that...

Background:
I bought a 1979 Yamaha XS400 with 18000 kms on it. Has...

I am currently restoring a 1980 XS400 Special II model and I was wondering if the wire loom from a 1977 model is the same for the 1980? The one on the 1980 looks like it has been modified and I do not trust it.
Can anyone clear this up for me please?
Thanks!
