Hello all, I haven't posted in a while, life happens divorce broke Ect.... But anyway my bike after riding for a while on the highway when I come to a stop my bike dies, I have both idle mixture screws turned out to about 2.5 and have new carb boots. I attempted to turn up the idle but then the throttle won't come down. Like if I rev it up it will take forever to come back down. Thanks in advance. Oh and BTW carbs are clean I mean surgically clean.

Go another turn out to richen it up a bit, get it up to temp and sync with a manometer then set the idle speed. Bike should be hot when setting the idle!

Check for air leaks: spray carb cleaner around the boots, if the engine speed changes there is a leak. do you have the stock petcock? make sure the vacuum tube is on one of the metal barbs sticking out of the boots and the other should be capped off.
