So, while I was surfing the net, pricing clutch plates etc, I came across the Yambits clutch tool. As this will be my first attempt in opening up the clutch housing and diagnosing why its slipping, Im curious in knowing if its worth the money for the tool, or if its just a gimmick?!

Of the threads I've read, noone really mentions using this tool.

:umm: Thoughts/Experiences, please??!!

Cheers

I didnt need one when I open up the clutch basket. You can just tightly hold the basket with a rag and you hands to undo the bolt. Be careful of jamming things in there to untighten, the soft alloy of the basket can bent quite easily.

I assume its for undoing the nut in the middle?

they are good if you have taken the engine out of the frame and cannot lock the front engine off. I think I used a rag jammed between the primary drive and clutch basket
