Hey guys, got a few questions and some less-than-subtle teasers.

This starts off with the demo. I recently looked up electro-etching and have been practicing on some crappy angle-iron. After cleaning up the surface to be etched (will be much better than I've done on these tests) you draw whatever design you want with sharpie. This acts as a buffer between the salt solution and the metal so that only the bare metal is attacked.

Attach the piece to be etched to the positive end of a battery tender, the negative end to a piece of scrap metal, and dunk both into a bath of water and salt (rubber gloves etc.) and watch it fizz like soda! Pull the piece after a bit, rinse with water and acetone, and behold:

Straight on it's a little bit tough to see, but at an angle it rocks:D

So, here's the question that makes this not so subtle; What is the fork body made of? I'm hoping a steel alloy of some description and not aluminium...

Let me know and I'll keep y'all in the loop
