I am planning on replacing the rats-nest of inline fuses with this.

is there any drawback to switching to these cartridge fuses vice the tube bus fuses that are getting harder to find it seems.

I tried to find a stock box but there doesn't seem to be be one for the special II SH ..

There's no problem with using that type of fuse block. Many have done it. Others have used Radio Shack parts to make a new fuse block that looks like the original and fits in the box, myself included. Whichever way you prefer, as long as there are reliable fuses.

Thanks Houghmade. I searched so much this morning on google I totally spaced it on the forum search ::facepalm:: mine didnt come with an actual fuse box just a nice tangle of wires with inline fuses.

I purchased the exact same fuse box earlier this week and am waiting for it to come in. I don't see any drawbacks other than it does not look factory.

The fusebox came in today and I replaced the the original fusebox. The only drawback I see is the side to side spread of the wires is wider than I anticipated. If I was to do it again I think I would get the model where the wires attach from the bottom. It would make a slimmer install.

Another possibility to keep the wire hookup slimmer is to use 45 degree angled female blade connectors rather than the straight connectors I used.
