Max fork tube size

Can the triple trees be bored out to take bigger fork tubes? If so can it be done up to 41mm?

Reason I ask is I can get me hands on a 08 ninja 650r rolling frame for cheap. If I can't get the tree to fit I would like to at least bore my tree out and slide the forks into mine. The rim is a hair wider, but I would use my wheel anyways. I really just want all the brakes and newer forks off of it and maybe the rear swing arm to do a monoshock rear.

The most straitforward swap imo would be a complete front end...bearings and spacers providing...I would'n bore out the trees...not safe imo.
I've heard of guys pressing the stems out of the trees and pressing new ones back in...

Sounds like a good alternative. I'm looking really hard to find some concrete info in the specs for the ninja. Kinda tough though. What measurements do I need to know?
