Mystery Switch at the Handlebars?

Hi guys,

After replacing the stock handlebars off my 1981 XS400, I was left with one switch that I must've missed when re-installing everything. From the looks of it, it could be a neutral safety switch, brake switch, or something of the like. Anyone have any clue as to where this goes? I've checked out wiring diagrams and I can't track anything like this down.

Its the brake light switch I believe

Its the clutch lock out switch if it is on the left hand side The engine won't start if the clutch is not pulled in.

It plugs into the lever perch! I like perches.

OK, thanks for the replies! So I'm having a little trouble putting that switch back into either the clutch or the brake lever...does anyone have a picture or a diagram of where exactly it plugs into? Thanks in advance.
