I looked up my VIN# using a chart from the forum and it said I have an xs360?
The bike's plastic piece covering the air filter says 400. (maybe engine was swapped?)
The chart I referenced also said its a 1977 engine. My title says I have a 1978.
Alot of threads on this site make me think i should have disk brakes, which as the picture shows, I don't.
Not sure what I'm working with here.
Can anyone provide me with some insight? let me know if you guys need any more info.

Thanks

Carbs are xs360. Whats the frame vin and the motor vin. The xs360 was made in 76-77.

The 2D had drum brakes front and back. Also no e-start.

Looks like a fun little bike.

You have a numbers matching 77xs360. If your title says 78 xs400 that's not good:( What is the vin number on the title.

the title has that engine VIN. and it says xs400. they just printed a new one with my name at the dmv and gave me a plate. a cop wont be able to tell an xs400 from an xs360 though so no biggie. right?

As long as the frame vin matches the title your fine. I had a chevy s-10 that had a title saying it was a s-14:laugh: The vin is all that matters. Typos do happen. When you registered it you could have changed it then.
