Quick electrics question

I'm going to be picking up 3 parts bikes, for a good deal (2 running and registered and 1 dedicated parts bike). the thing is I need an ignitor to get mine up and running, tdi cdi which one I don't know (from the box "type tid12-02c 4r4-10). The bikes are all heritage special's. My question is did they come with points or electronic ignition?

depends on the year, circa '80 and above yes. you can tell by the smooth "points" cover which is fitted to the TCI models. (it needs to be bigger to clear the internals)

I think all "Heritage Specials" were made in the electronic ignition years.
