Hallo all! (Ciao tutti: italian version...)
I'v got a project on going since 1 year: realize a Dirt Track from my XS400 '78.
I'd increase power (torque) , to have this I'd rebore it from 69=391cc to 74=450cc.
So I need new sleeves, quite easy to do, but first problem is to find pistons quite similar....!:banghead:
Do anyone know if SR250 pistons have same dimension (eccept bore, obviously) of xs?
Standard SR250 piston is 73.5 that is 440cc by using original crankshaft...
Anyone tried first?

Welcome piccio! I'm not sure about the SR250 pistons, but I believe there is a fellow on the DOHC forums that has retrofitted GSXR750 liners and pistons into the SOHC XS. I will try to find it as soon as I can!

I hear about it , but katana (suzy GSXR 750) has 4 valves...
If someone interested we can also buy a 4 cilinder set and split it : fifty fifty....
But quite sure that SR250 piston could be the right choice (I have to verify diameter pin).

Thank you very much!
(sorry about my poor english)

I believe the user was CrazyPJ or whatever username has on that site. Piccio, your English is very good, nothing to apologize for...

OK guys...
tomorrow I'll ring my spare-pusher to buy sr250 used piston.
It could takes some days... but only option I have is to try!

All opinons are welcome...

I have planned to bore mine out next winter so please keep us posted.
Also as a last resort you can always order custom pistons but i dont know how much they cost, i bet not cheap tho.
