Trying to build up some funds so I can make my current dream bike a reality. Offering up this pair of Yamaha's as a package deal.
The '81 (black tank) is my "regular" rider currently. Had it a couple months, been doing some pleasure riding and occasionally commuting with it. Very cool bike, light and easy to handle. Starts very easily, idles nice and quiet. Have yet to have it stall at a stop light or anything like that, it just purrs along. Electric starter works, seat is very nice, tank is very clean internally, tires are VERY nice. Just over 19k miles. Clean and clear title. Brakes work, rear could use some adjustment or something, they're grabby. All stock as far as I can tell, excepting the new Renthal bars and the mirror I installed. Ride it home.
The '80 (blue tank) is definitely resurrectable, 90% complete and in very decent shape overall. Clear title on this one as well. Needs a couple components, but shouldn't take much to get on the road again.

Ideal buyer would be someone looking for a "rolling custom" project, i.e., ride the black bike as you upgrade parts from the blue bike, then swap them over. Build the extra forks, fresh seals and fluid, paint or polish the lowers, and when they're all done, swap them over to the black bike ... minimal downtime that way. Or build the blue bike into a vintage trackbike, or, well, whatever.
Package price is $1200 firm for both bikes. If you swap out the bars for clipons or something, I'll buy the Renthals back for fifty bucks. Questions, just ask, thanks for looking, and have yerself a great day. EMAIL ME DIRECTLY if you have any interest.
