Try raising the clip one more groove[at the top]and try it there. If it doesn't do the trick,You'll have to try a smaller needle. Lha

I'll try raising the needle back to where it was and see if that doesnt help it out

Raised the needle back to the middle position and what a difference! It has such a smooth power delivery now. I dont really understand this now though since I was already in this position before but with lower pilots? Maybe the transition was too much? Anyway after a good long ride I think I'm still lean

I think I'll go up to 30 on the pilots and raise the needle again and see if I cant get the plug to be brown. Anybody against this?

You'll have to experiment until you dial in the right combination,then you'll have it. Just keep track of what you do as far as changes are concerned so you'll know how you got where you're at. Once you get it going right,it'll run great with the VM carbs. lha
go for it, leave the needle where it is though and adjust the mix screw.
