Hey everyone...I performed my first repair on my bike today (if you want to call it that). My flasher relay liked to auto cancel at random times, so I replaced it with a Tridon EL12 that I saw some have used on here. It was pretty self-explanatory and works fine. The only surprise was that I swear it looks like all my lights are brighter, even the indication lights for neutral, oil, signal. Is that possible or is it just my imagination?

Also, in case you wanted to know what my stock relay looked like on an '81 Special II, here it is:

Probably not your imagination. Disconnecting and reconnecting wiring will often clean dirty connections. It is very common in the aviation industry to "re-rack" electronics to eliminate electrical gremlins. Simply put, components are removed and re-installed, or connectors taken apart and reconnected a couple of times to help the individual connectors seat properly and make good connections.
