So, im trying to switch my 77 xs360 over to leds. right now, with the stock relay the lights turn on, but dont flash. Ive tried flasher relays from advance auto with no success. I tried using a three prong and grounding it with no success, it does however click at a really fast rate if the bike is turned on.

Someone please help! Im not sure what else to try.

The stock flasher relay grounds through the auto-canceller unit, which won't work with the lower draw of the LEDs.
Need to remove the canceller and reconnect the ground pin from the flasher relay socket to a solid ground.
I did it to mine by buying a connector that fits in place of the canceller and wired between the relevant pin and the ground pin in the same connector.
Keeps the wiring stock. Got a photo in another thread somewhere.

Found this one first though.

Oh! I didnt realize i had to remove the self canceling unit. That makes a lot of sense! thank you so much.

Yeah, under the tank, above the carb intake, in front of the battery box.
Rectangular black block with a six pin connector.

Don't chuck the self cancelling unit. They are getting rare and are not really serviceable. I'd not mind a few spare of them myself.
